It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Luft Jr. of Ashville, New York, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Walter Ishmael; his brother-in-law Nevin Ishmael; and his close friends, Keith Beavers, Todd Quickle and Greg Battle.
He is survived by: his parents, Julia E. Alwood (Kaiser) and Richard E. Luft, Sr.; his wife Dona S. Luft (Ishmael); his children, Tyler Luft (Elizabeth), Travis Luft and Taylor Hoefer (Matt); his grandson Braxton; his siblings, Terry Spurlock (Rod), Angela Manning and Mark Manning; his mother-in-law Mary Holdren (Brian); and his siblings-in-law, Diamond Ishmael (Lisa Bendoff) and Lisa Bianga (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
