Garvey; his children, John Jr. (Nancy) of Frewsburg, James of Ashville and Gena Pearson (Dave) of Panama, NY.; his grandchildren, Andrew (Kristan), Jeremy (Jamie), Claire, Lauren Garvey, Madison and Jackson Pearson; his stepmother Grace Garvey; his siblings, Stephen, Michael Garvey, Rosanne Ortolano and Kathleen Ingrao; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Derry (Ed) and Pat Marks.
