It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vaner Bergman of Ashville, New York, born in Jamestown, New York, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaner Bergman and Shirley Wellman Bergman Waterman; and his brother Roger Bergman. He is survived by: his wife Barbara McNitt Bergman; his children, Dawn Maloy (Brian) of Panama and James Vaner Bergman II (Danielle) of Ashville; his grandchildren, Nicholas Weitschat, Dylan (Ashley) and Cooper Bergman; his great grandchild Gavin Bergman; and his siblings, Laura Renker (George) of Florida and Gary Bergman of Jamestown.
Because of new COVID-necessitated policies, masks are required in the funeral home, regardless of immunization status.
