It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles McDonnell of Ashville, New York, born in Jamestown, New York, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. McDonnell and Marian Halladay McDonnell; and his close friend Susan Sheffield. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Trisket (Ed); his stepson Michael Sheffield (Carrie Tredo); his nieces, Amy Caldwell (Bill) and Amanda Kolstee (Todd); his nephew Scott Trisket (Wendy); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emily Gabriel (Travis), Marissa Eckman (Tom), Patrick Caldwell (Kayla), Jacob Caldwell (Kendall Covington), Caleb Caldwell (Elysa Meekins), McKenna Kolstee and Matthew Kolstee.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Star Hospice House located at 20 W. Fairmount Avenue Lakewood, NY 14750.
