He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hartman and Alice Hartman (Leutloff); his wife Florence; and his siblings, Jack Hartman, Jacqueline Roll (Frederick) and Marlene Gerber (Arthur).
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Apiculturist; his sister Carolyn Haist (late William) of Lancaster; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Burch, Lillian Cowham, Clara Kubera and Marian Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
