She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Ruef; her husband Gerald Canale, Sr.; her sisters, Aline Smith and Susanne Whittier; and her nephews, Scott Whittier and Stevie Ruef.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Canale (Linda Jo), Nancy Brown (Robert), David Canale, Mary Kay Vagg (David) and Gerald Canale, Jr.; her grandchildren, Justin Canale (Sarah), Aimee Koch (Darryl), Matthew Canale (Brooke), Jacob Canale (Stephanie), Robert Brown (Jourdon Sutton), Jennifer Leverenz (Ron), Elissa Risolo (John) and Bryan Vagg (Hanna Pescara); her great grandchildren, Braeden, Ethan Koch, Adele, Maelyn Canale, Madalyn, Mason Canale, Briella Brown, Robert Delgado-Brown, Johnny Risolo and Allison Leverenz; her siblings, Frederick Ruef (Patricia) and Patricia Mott (late Richard); and her brothers-in-law, Clayton "Greg" Fletcher and Tom Canale. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
