He was predeceased by: his parent Lynn Holmes. He is survived by: his sister Virginia Cochran; his nieces, Cheryl Dickerson (David) and Samantha McDaniel (Charles Bufford); and his friends, Jim Owen and Jayne Little. He is also survived by three grand nieces and nephews, 9 great-grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don's memory to the Newstead Historical Society or the Newstead Fire Company.
