He is survived by: his significant other Marcia Giroux of Adams; his friend Kenneth Lefave (late Joanne Lefave) of Adams; his children, Sonia M. McWhirt (Mark Ziemba) of Adams and Scott L. McWhirt (Stacie L. McWhirt); his granddaughters, Katie L. McWhirt and Beth A. Barnes (Daniel Barnes) of Cheshire; his son Matthew A. McWhirt of North Adams; his granddaughter Nikki McWhirt; his brother Vernon McWhirt of Omaha; his children, Lynette Braun (McWhirt), Lloyd D. McWhirt and Sean D. McWhirt; and his great grandchildren, Mitchell Kane, Seth Kane, Riley Barnes and Brady Barnes.
