He was predeceased by: his father David Tate; his grandmother Bullock; his mother Bertha Lee Tate; and his brother Robert Ward. He is survived by: his children, Chandra Louis, Tiffany Tate and Darnell Tate; his granddaughter Tatianna Hunter; and his siblings, Sheily Lyles Mitchell (Fred), Belinda Patton (Solomon), Dianna Tate, Denise Miller (Gary), Jennifer Rhodes (Curtis), Donna Jenkins (Charles) and Kenneth Tate Sr.. He is also survived by 10 Nephews;10 nieces; Great Nephews 8; great Nieces.
They decided to move the family to Las Vegas, NV where he worked for Clark County from 2004 to 2022 and retired but, he couldn't keep so he went on to work for Kids for the cure Foundation where he worked from April 2023 to October 2023.
