She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Patricia Helen Czosnek (Hansen); her husband Stephen W. DeMint; and her brother Michael Czosnek (Dolores). She was also cherished by many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sawyer was diagnosed with dementia (Alzheimer's) in 2010, which lead to her retirement from the Police Department in 2011.She loved to walk, bowl and play darts.
