He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Leo and Juanita Bonnell Lewis (Ridling); his daughter Misty Lewis-Gonzales; his sister Lovella Smith; his son-in-law Felix Carrillo; and his brother-in-law Lester Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Ruth Lewis (Keene); his children, Russel "Rusty" Lewis (Ana) of Silver City, NM and Crissy Lewis-Carrillo of Silver City, NM; his sister Sue Patterson of Buckhorn, NM; and his grandchildren, Kori Dominguez (Jeremy Ybarra), Ashley Frost-Reyes (Robert), Cody Frost, Kassy Culp (Cody), Kourtnee Whittington (Josh), Clay Lewis and Lacey Lewis. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
