He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Maldonado and Lucia Maldonado (Richarte); his siblings, Luis Maldonado, Severo Maldonado, Aurelio Maldonado, Manuela Valdiviezo and Rosie Roberts; and his brother-in-law Ralph Vasquez.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Maldonado (Sedillos); his children, Sam Maldonado (Ruth) of Tucson, AZ, Randy Maldonado (Elisa) of Chandler, AZ, Lillian Borrego (Armando) of Silver City, NM and Lucy Triviso (David) of Silver City, NM; and his sisters, Mary Vasquez of Silver City, NM and Christina Jaramillo (Jose) of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren; his twenty-five great-grandchildren; his four great-great grandchildren and his numerous nieces and nephews.
