Gilbert Sanchez Flores Obituary

Gilbert Sanchez Flores, Jr. (Flako), 35, of Silver City passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 11 am. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Dave Garcia, Andres Vigil, Adam Munoz, Andy DeLaO and Adam Martinez.

Flako as he was affectionately known, was born in Pima, Arizona to Gilbert Flores and Terry Sanchez. He grew up in Silver City and enjoyed the outdoors, spending quality time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to music and drawing. Flako was known for his unique whistle. If you knew Gilbert, you would know he was close by just the echo of his whistle. We will miss his smile and his sense of humor.

He leaves behind his daughter, Aarinn Skye Flores; . His "mother of pearl", Terry Sanchez (Dave); three sisters, Tina Marie (Adam), Amy Rae (Andres) and Megan Flores.. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Grado Flores, Sr,.

Gilbert will be greatly missed and never forgotten, we love you Flako.
