Maria Elena Chavez Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 28, 2020, at the age of 60, Maria Elena Chavez (Santa Rosa, New Mexico) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan and Florencia; her brother Celestino Sammy Lopez; and her nephews, Geno Chavez and Leo Chavez.

She is survived by: her husband Michael R. Chavez; her children, Joyce, Francisca (Marty), Andrea (Jonathan), Michael Jr. (Monica) and Maria (Matthew); her nieces and nephews, Janna Lopez, Marco Coca, Gabriel Chavez, Reyna Chavez, Santiago Chavez, Joaquin Chavez and Robert Chavez; her siblings, Johnny (Vivian), Roberto "Hogan", Anna Mae (Nick) and Christine; and her parents-in-law, Ernesto and Evelyn Chavez. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Social Distancing guidelines, services were private and limited to the immediate family.
