We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2021, at the age of 82, Nick Chavez of Portales, New Mexico passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Pacheco; his son Patrick; his parents, Felicita Chavez and Benito Chavez; and his brothers, Camilo Chavez and Ray Chavez.
He is survived by: his son Nick Chavez, Jr. of Rio Rancho; his grandchildren, Hanna Chavez of Clovis and Josh Chavez of Portales; his great grandchild Zack Chavez of Clovis; his siblings, Joe Chavez (Clara) of Los Trigos, Charlie Chavez (Carol) of Albuquerque, Tony Chavez (Lolly) of Albuquerque, Albert Chavez (Connie) of Albuquerque and Grace Ortiz (Chris) of Albuquerque; and his half-brothers, Fred Baca (Maria) of Hernandez, Joseph Baca (Diane) of Los Alamos, Victor Baca (Nicole) of Amarillo and Michael Baca of Amarillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
