He was predeceased by: his son Brandon Pate; his parents, Katherine and Notie Sr.; and his sister Muriel Pate. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Pate; his children, Jordynn (Alex Gutierrez) and Mathew Phelan; and his grandchildren, Braylon Pate, Jayce, Jax Gutierrez, Rio Lerma, Mattellen, Peyton and Jayden Phelan. He is also survived by great granddaughter and many cousins' nieces and nephews.
