“Donn was a good friend and colleague for more than 40 years. The kind of guy who would bail you out if you ran out of gas in the middle of the desert at 2 a.m. Actually, he'd forget the gas but would bring pizza and beer. Donn possessed a wealth of information and knowledge about the music of the 50s and 60s. I'm so pleased he donated his music collection to the local university. I'll smile every time I think of him.”
