He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorna Doone Lyman McCaleb (late James Vernon McCaleb) and Darrell Kenneth Cloud. He is survived by: his wife Terri McCaleb of Farmington, NM.; his children, Sarah Netzer, DeAmber Montoya (Zachary Montoya), Amanda McCaleb, Phillip McCaleb (Amanda Medina-McCaleb) and John McCaleb (Brittany Cherington); his grandchildren, Kayden Valerio, Alhanna Valerio, Lucy Netzer, Micah Netzer, Arianna Beasley, Silas Montoya, Kayleigh Beasley, Caster McCaleb, Riley Montoya, Elorah McCaleb, Jasper McCaleb, Jethro McCaleb and Olivia McCaleb; his mother-in-law Lois Smelser; his siblings, David McCaleb, Rebecca Christiansen, Linda Sly (Jim Sly) and Jim McCaleb (Sody McCaleb); and his sister-in-law Patti White (Joe White). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to The Lord's Pantry - Kenya, where John's heart resided.
