It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward George Mickel of Farmington, New Mexico, born in Mission, South Dakota, who passed away on April 25, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter Mickel and Carolina Mickel; and his brother Charles Joseph Mickel. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Francis MacMurtrie; his children, John Mickel (Sheila), Jeff Mickel (Jean Tangeman), Ian MacMurtrie (Karen), Val Mickel, Vicki Snyder (Randy), Kathy Spencer (Steve), Jeannie MacMurtrie, Sandy MacMurtrie (Charlie) and Wendy Blodgett (Dwayne); and his sisters, Kathryn Mickel (Katie) and Helen Burnett. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
