He was predeceased by: his parents, Bacil Smith and Mildred Smith; his sisters, Rowena McGrew, Marilyn Cooley and Beverly Phillips; and his granddaughter Olivia Rayne McNeil.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Smith; his children, LaTricia Anderson (Jon) of Bay Minnette, AL, Ramona Wray (Brock) of Hobbs, NM, Rachel Hinkle (Jeremiah) of Stratford, OK, R. D. Smith (Tamara) of Abingdon, VA, Deborah Smith of Eunice, NM, Adriane McNeil (Aaron) of Eunice, NM and Aaron Smith of Abingdon, VA.; and his siblings, Janella Deere, Bonnie Phillips, Bacil Smith, Delbert Smith and Bill Smith. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
