He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Nieto and Estanislada Nieto; and his siblings, Tony Nieto, Petrita, Virginia, Juanita and Shirley Nieto.
He is survived by: his son Daniel F. Nieto; his stepson Markham E. Kearns; his granddaughters, Lindsey Nieto and Katelin Nieto; his sisters, Dolores Otero of Albuquerque, NM and Estanislada Martinez (Joe Martinez) of Casper, Wyoming; his nieces, Becky Sandoval, Stella Salcido and Michelle Montoya; his nephew David Otero; and his close friend Chico.
