With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L Wood of Deming, New Mexico, who passed away on November 12, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Jedidiah Wood; and his parents, Carrol Wood and Edna Wood. He is survived by: his wife Susan Wood; his children, Jodie and John Bookout; his grandsons, Riley of Deming, NM, Reuben of Deming, NM, Ryder of Deming, NM, Ryndon of Deming, NM and Rance of Deming, NM; and his siblings, Jess Wood (Carol) of Kiowa, Cindy Buttram (Terry) of Alamogordo, NM and Kathy Grant of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Southwest New Mexico State Fair Livestock Department. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to Luna County Extension Service at 210 B. Poplar St. Deming, NM 88030 c/o Jack Blandford.
