With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna L. Hughes (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on December 10, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Louise and John Leslie Clifton; her siblings, Raymond Clifton, Melvin Clifton and Valda Tafoya; her son Brad Hughes; her granddaughter Tamara Ormand; and her great grandchild Cort Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Pam (Danny Butler) of Loraine, TX and Salty Hughes (Debbie); her pet Canyon; her son AJ Hughes (Amy) of Millersburg, IN; and her daughter-in-law Tracy Hughes of Carlsbad, NM.. She is also survived by Seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
