She was predeceased by: her parents, Nazaria Sosa (Ruiz) and Gilbert H. Sosa, Sr.; and her siblings, Michael A. Sosa and Naomi Smith. She is survived by: her husband Joe Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM; her son Michael Garcia of Carlsbad, NM; and her siblings, Pauline Olivares of Phoenix, AZ, Gilbert R. Sosa Jr. (Sandra) of Killeen, TX and Peggy Mendoza (Thomas) of Carlsbad, NM. She is also survived by twenty-seven nieces and nephews; thirty-nine great nieces and nephews; and three great great nieces and nephews; and numerous other extended family.
