He is survived by: his daughters, Brandy Blanchard (Lupe Calderon) of Carlsbad and Dedee Blanchard-Dorado (Sam) of Carlsbad; his grandchildren, Nate, Emmy Dorado, Brien, Nathan and Emily Dorado; his sister Linda Whitaker of Clovis, NM; his nephew Terry Barnett; and his nieces, Tonda Simmons and Jamie Prater.
