She was predeceased by: her husband Hal Mapes, Sr.; her son Hal Mapes, Jr.; and her brother Walton Romefelt. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Fredericks (Karl), Nancy Small (Chip), Diane Glass (Gary) and Mary Lange (Brian); her daughter-in-law Carol Mapes; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin), Andrew (Crista), Stephen (Annie), Thomas, Michael, Melinda, Stacey (Kyle), Gillian (Matt), Gary, Caroline, Megan (John), Allison, Lauren (Will Brown) and Matthew; her sisters, Mary Kendall and Peggy Sigler; and her pets, Zoey and Scout. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
