He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermann and Emma; and his brothers, Werner, Heinz and Joseph Ott.
He is survived by: his close friend Karl; his children, Thomas and Sigrid Ott; his wife Brigitte; his daughter-in-law Stella; his grandchildren, Timothy, Emily, Albert and Alexander; and his siblings, Dr. Hugo Ott, Willi Ott, Sophie Brandt, Louise Schmitt and Loni Waniek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
