He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel E. Goodwin Jr. and Marian C. Goodwin; and his brother Thompson W. Ashton (Barbara Ashton). He is survived by: his wife Caroline E. Goodwin; his sons, Samuel E. Goodwin IV (Alana) and Glenn A. Goodwin of Glen Bernie, MD.; and his grandchildren, Brandon S. Bethune of Glassboro, NJ and Nova Hinkle of Seattle. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
