She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Karmels; her son Wayne Karmels (Ruth); and her siblings, Virginia Lewbart, Jack Whiteford, Basil Whiteford, Thomas Whiteford and Janet Pinkowsky. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boystown (https://www.boystown.org) or St. Jude's Hospital.
