He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Atkinson and Dorothy Atkinson. He is survived by: his family, Delta Airlines, Texaco and Simonek Moving; his brothers, Gary and Bruce; his children, John, II (Ann) of Woodbury, Jeffrey (Kelley) of Eldersburg, Steven of Nanticoke, Tracey Tyson (Joe) of White Haven and Janet Fellon (Jim) of Mantua; and his grandchildren, Douglas, Elizabeth, Matthew, Lisa, David, Emily, Hannah and Kyla.
