He was predeceased by: his parents, David M. Pidgeon and Edna Pidgeon; and his siblings, Helen Patten, Jane Hartman, John Pidgeon and Robert Pidgeon.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Pidgeon; his stepchildren, David Jr., Thomas, Richard, Harry, Joe, John Crabtree and Melissa Kline; and his sisters, Bertha McMahon and Stella Pidgeon (Joy Pidgeon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
