He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne Oakes; and his parents, Edgar Oakes and Ella Oakes. He is survived by: his children, Donald Lee Oakes (Jackie), Susan Oakes Boslet and Alice Heinrich (Bill). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
