He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Bier and Alice Bier; and his brother Barry Bier. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Bier; his children, Adam Bier, Mellissa Bier (Jeremy Sziklay), Yohannan Bier (Elmo) and Naomi Bier; and his grandson Alex Sziklay.
