He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil G. Garland and Marie Garland; and his brother James Garland. He is survived by: his wife Mary Garland; his children, Meghan Garland (Frank Gontier), Robert Garland (Mona Patel), Kelly Garland Starke (Dave) and Brody Garland; his grandchildren, Avery, Dylan Elizabeth Suriano Garland, Kai Garland, Charlotte Garland, Charlie Starke and Lucas Starke; and his sisters, Kathleen Rouzic, Maureen DiLella, Patricia Garland and Susan Bahr.
