He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Armstrong Herndon; his siblings, Gertrude Stephens and Freda Kenney; his wife Ellen; his sons-in-law, Sheila Sperrazza, Ronald Sperrazza, Shelley Merola and James Merola; his son Steven Herndon; his daughter-in-law Susan Herndon; his grandchildren, Curtis Sperrazza, Shane Sperrazza, Garrett Herndon, Zachary Merola, Aniyha Merola and Abrielle Merola; his sister Janet Legursky; and his sister-in-law Bessie Stout. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
