He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Flynn and Annie Flynn (Cully); his wife Mary T. Flynn; and his siblings, Sean, Benedict (Bendy), Margaret, Maura and Nora.
He is survived by: his children, Carina Sullivan (Matt) of Armonk, NY, Nadine Flynn (Lou Dubrosa) of Mantoloking, NJ, Adrienne Foley (Dan) of Brooklyn, NY, Deidre Flynn of Toms River, NJ and Sharon Flynn Stidham (Jim) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Cole Sullivan, Maeve Sullivan, Fiona Dubrosa, Madailéin Dubrosa, Maryann Foley, Emily Foley, Devon Freer, Colin Freer, James Stidham III (Samantha) and Brennan Stidham; his brother Tommy Flynn (Peggy); and his brother-in-law Peter Brennan (Andrea). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
