He is survived by: his wife Mary Shalaida (Marren); his children, John Hugh (Kelly Shalaida) of East Hanover, NJ, Peter James (Heather Shalaida) of Rutherford, NJ and Dr. Megan Patricia Shalaida of Toms River, NJ; his grandsons, Luke James Shalaida, John Stanley Shalaida and Benjamin Ryan Shalaida; and his brother-in-law Walter Mason.
