He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Overpeck; his parents, Earl Overpeck and Alice Overpeck; and his siblings, Ester Demo, Anna May Danfield, Alice Myers, Blanche Turner, Evelyn Heimlich, Henrietta Owens (Sis), Arthur, Frank, Earl, John and Gerome.

He is survived by: his sons, Earl (Michele) and James (Susan); and his grandchildren, James Jr. (Victoria), Thomas (Nicole), Rachel (Tom), Jessica and David.
