He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred (Frey); his son William E. Brooks, III; and his siblings, Edward, Richard, Howard (Pete), Robert, Ruth Thiell and Evelyn McGill.

He is survived by: his children, Lynn Mains (late Larry) and Howard Brooks (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Emily Brooks, Madison Brooks and Ryan Brooks; and his sister Helen Cusano (Maryjo) of Garnerville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William's (Bill) name to Serenity Hospice, 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ. 08505.
