He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Hannay and Virginia Hannay; and his former wife Janneka Evans Hannay. He is survived by: his wife Lois Judice Hannay; his siblings, Jean Bodine of Williamsburg, Virginia and John Hannay "Beverly" of Williamsburg, Virginia; his sons, James Hannay Sr. of Toms River, David Hannay (Ana) and Jeffrey Hannay of Stewartsville; his daughter-in-law Jenifer Hannay of Middletown; his grandchildren, James Hannay Jr. "Katelyn" and Kaitlyn Hannay; his great grandchild Jacob Hannay; and his friend Nicholas. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces.
