She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald E. Lawes and Bessie B. Lawes; her brother Donald E. Lawes, Jr.; and her son Andrew W. Mercer. She is survived by: her husband Henry D. Mercer, Jr.; her children, Henry D. Mercer III (Joan) of Locust, NJ, Deborah Mercer Ribas of Westwood, MA and Marilyn M. Bell (Charles) of Colts Neck, NJ.; her grandchildren, Dickson, Sarah, Anna, William, Elizabeth and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Henry, Hope and Eloise; and her siblings-in-law, Eleanor Lawes and Douglas D. Mercer. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
