It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hildegarde Elizabeth Burkarth (Rockaway, New Jersey), born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 8, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Karl F. Burkarth; and her brother Richard Prumer. She is survived by: her parents, Maximilian Prumer and Kathrin Prumer; her daughters, Linda Odierno, Ray, Pinehurst, Karen Dyson, Greg and Fort; her grandchild Anthony; her wife Daniela; her great grandchildren, Brennan, Albie, Gianluca, Alessandro, Claire, Paige and Charles; and also, Kathrin Funk (Nick), Michael, Matthew and Sarah Martin (Adam).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Hilda's memory be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or to Immaculata Catholic School, 711 N. Buncombe Street, Hendersonville, NC 28791.
