He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Leland and Ellen Gilliland; his wife Betty L. Wolowitz; his children, Kay Canham, Amy Becker, Karen Messina, Neil Gilliland (Laurie), Steven Orner, Robert Orner and Jamie Micelli; his sister-in-law Jane Curry; his nieces and nephews, Richard Gilliland, Leigh Patenaude and Paul Bender; and his brothers, James Leland Gilliland Jr. and Richard Gilliland. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
