He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Auer and Magdelena Auer; and his siblings, Elmer, Jr., Harry, Robert and Barbara Seuff.
He is survived by: his son John Jr.; his stepdaughter Vicki Kroger (Richard); and his stepgrandchildren, Richard Charles and Emily Lynne Kroger.
