He is survived by: his parent Clara Shaw Black; his wife Dorothy; his children, Ron Black and Beverly Ann Garlic; and his siblings, Robert Black, Caroline Ridgway and Dorothy Strobel. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
