He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Dunwell Smith and Peter Paul Jessamine; his stepfather Charles Smith; his brother Paul "Petey" Jessamine; and his close friend Merle Boyd.
He is survived by: his sister Paula Ann Jessamine; his children, Annette Jessamine Case, Renee Jessamine Cmeyla and Richard Jessamine; his grandchildren, Meghan Case, Alex Graham and Nathan Cmeyla; and his great grandchildren, Logan Ressler, Cooper Graham and Maisie Graham.
