With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marva J. Sykes (Orange, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roberta Moore and Clarence Moore; her husband Calvin M. Sykes; and her siblings, Kenneth Sr., Claudia, Clarence, Robert, Gary, Ernest, Evelyn, Karen and Marty.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lajuan and Haneefah; her sister Rosalind Moore; her grandchildren, Sahar, Idris, Shazaiyah and Shakyah; her great grandchildren, Nyla and Isaiah; and also Khalifah Shabazz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 163 Oakwood Ave, City of Orange, NJ 07050. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
