He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Elijah W. Horton and Emma Jane Horton; and his sister Mary Eva "Kim" Horton. He is survived by: his significant other Roberta Horton; his children, Kenya Monique Chambers, Michael Horton II, Gabrielle Horton and Natasha Daniels; and his siblings, Anthony Horton and Patricia Ashe of Edenton, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute.
