It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Selfridge Hare of Ocean City, New Jersey, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William C. Hare of Lansdowne; and her parents, Marion B. Selfridge and James S. Selfridge. She is survived by: her children, James C. Hare (Valerie) of Lake Wylie, SC, Stephen W. Hare (Diane) of Voorhees, NJ and Susan H. Brown (James) of Marriottsville; her grandchildren, Rev. Judith A. Emerson of Marriottsville, Maryland., Jillian M. Culp (Thomas), Taylor L. Hare, Amanda B. Lowe (Bradley) and Eric W. Brown (Antonia); her great grandchildren, Sawyer and Jameson Culp; and her son Eagle Scout.

Memorial contributions can be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Children's Ministry.
