She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Herold and Catherine Herold; and her sister Phyllis Bunker. She is survived by: her husband Rich; her children, Susan (Edward Gronske), Diane (Farrokh Force), Linda (John Beriont) and Richard (Shannon Dirienzo); her daughter-in-law Tammy; her granddaughter Brittany; her great grandchild Oakley; her granddaughters, Arman, Kimberly, Madeline, Soraya and Jaclyn; and her sister Lillian Kantz.
In lieu of flowers, Irene has requested a donation be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
